Bloom Table Squares
Designed by Amanda RatajThese small table squares are a simple project designed to familiarize you with the overshot technique through a straightforward, short threading sequence. Since there is only one large motif, sections are easy to thread, and the small size makes the project satisfyingly quick to make. Order a kit.
I have not woven an overshot pattern in many years, but this pattern was too tempting. I loved weaving it. I had forgotten how tedious the threading could be! Cussing was involved. But I prevailed. Mine did not square up as perfectly I think due to my jack loom, but maybe will after it comes off the loom. Regardless, it doesn't bother me one bit. I am a fan Amanda!
Love this draft! I am very "into" Dogwood designs and this really fits my needs. Well done.
Can't wait to weave. To busy in summer with yard work but play catch up this winter. This is to be my first project. Can't wait.
I love this weaving. I like the fact that there is the one pattern and no repeat. These are a nice size, too.
Anyway, back to the pattern review, the draft is well written and very easy to follow.
I plan to use this with some finer raffia I have for the pattern weft. I like wall hangings and I think this bloom will be a great pattern.
