Weaving Yarn


Our shop is stocked with yarn designed especially for weavers in a beautiful array of colors. We carry weaving yarns in a wide variety of fibers, including high quality cotton, linen, silk, wool, and alpaca in a variety of sizes. Most of our yarn (unless otherwise indicated) is suitable for warp on a rigid heddle or multi-shaft loom.

Cotton is one of the most versatile weaving materials, ideal for both home textiles and clothing. It is fiber that can be spun to be hardy, washable, and affordable, which makes it the perfect staple to keep on hand in your weaving studio. We carry cotton yarn in a number of different styles, weights, and blends, with many colors available in each yarn.

Beam 3/2 Organic Cotton Weaving Yarn

This 3/2 organic un-mercerized cotton is soft, hardy, and beginner-friendly, designed for making towels, home textiles, and apparel. 100% organic cotton. Made in the USA.

Mallo cotton slub weaving yarn

A thick and thin cotton slub yarn designed to weave soft and absorbent home textiles, scarves, or apparel. 100% cotton (55% organic). Made in the USA.

8/2 Un-Mercerized Cotton Weaving Yarn

Absorbent, washable, and durable, this 8/2 cotton is designed for dish towels, hand towels, placemats, and tablecloths. 100% cotton. Made in Canada.

This thick cotton weaving cord works as a warp for wall hangings, or as the thick yarn needed for rep weaving. 100% cotton. Made in Canada.

Cotton linen blends are truly a joy to weave with. The ease of working with cotton paired with the crisp luxury of linen results in fun at the loom and a beautiful finished project. The cotton linen blends we carry both have cotton slubs, which adds subtle texture to your fabric.

Duet cotton/linen weaving yarn

A versatile yarn, Duet is strong enough for warp, soft enough for garments, and hardy enough for kitchen towels. Made from 55% European tow linen and 45% USA-grown cotton. Made in the USA.

Italian cotton/linen weaving yarn

Soft and textured, this fine slub yarn is designed for weaving both home textiles and next-to-skin apparel. 50% linen, 50% slub cotton. Made in Italy.

Weavers looking for a fiber with exceptional warmth and softness love working with alpaca. Alpaca weaving yarn is quite stretchy so can take a bit of finessing on the loom, but is well worth the effort put into it.

3/10 alpaca weaving yarn

Soft and warm, this 3/10 yarn weight alpaca is the fiber of choice for weavers looking for a touch of luxury in a special scarf, shawl, or blanket. 100% alpaca. Made in Peru.

Wool is the fiber of choice for weavers looking to weave warm and durable home textiles and apparel.

Linen is the ultimate luxury fiber for weaving crisp home textiles and accessories. While more challenging to weave with because of linen's lack of elasticity, many weavers find weaving with linen to be more than worth the extra effort.
