Double Width Blanket
This soft and colorful organic cotton blanket is woven as double width cloth–a technique that allows you to double the weaving width of your loom. Two 25” wide layers are woven at the same time, connected on one side. The blanket is unfolded once it is off the loom, doubling the width. Please note that this pattern does not come with a .wif file, since double width cloth cannot be accurately conveyed in a drawdown. Order a kit.
This was so cool to weave. Only problem I had was that the top layer was tight and the bottom layer would get loose the longer I wove. If I wasn’t paying attention some strings wouldn’t weave right. But I loved the end product.
