Color Blended Towels
Designed by Deborah Jarchow
These cotton towels are woven with a specific warp and weft color order that gracefully blends three hues of Mallo with a watercolor effect. This pattern includes four variations of Color-and-Weave in the weft, creating a set that each have their own unique characteristics. Order a kit.

I consider myself an advanced beginner weaver. This was my first project with actual directions using yarn that was made for weeding. I decided to try it, using my own color, combination of brick, fir and spice. Love the Mallo yarn, Love the colors. The color combination was perfect for our kitchen and one friend liked it so much that I gave her two of my four towels as a gift. The most difficult part of this pattern (for me) was warping the Loom. The suggested warping pattern was not hard to follow and worked well. I am very happy with the result.
I made the first two of the patterns. Warped the first time using 8/2 doubled cotton but aborted the weaving pretty fast. It did give me an idea of how pretty the pattern was. Tried again using Beam on my rigid heddle and this time was successful. The towels turned out really nicely. It was a fun pattern and not at all boring.
