A timeless set of napkins woven with Duet Cotton/Linen in two contrasting hues. Color-and-weave is used here to create a pattern reminiscent of hand-stitched or quilted fabrics. Designed by Christine Jablonski.
Rigid heddle loom | 10" weaving width
Four napkins, 8" W x 8" L
This is a review for the yarn. I am a new-ish weaver, working on a RHL, I found the yarn split easily, especially when slaying the heddle. Ultimately, with the split yarn and keeping adequate tension across the warp, I had 2 broken warp threads. The Upside, I am now comfortable repairing a broken warp thread.
Tried this pattern for napkins, made them larger, love the design, easy to do & very effective. Looking forward to trying towels using same design. Would also work for place mats & even scarves
Love the feel of the thread. I am putting it on the warping board at this moment. it going to sweet.
Am so greaatful for Christine Jablobski & GIST’s Running Stitch Napkin pattern. It really helps a beginner weaver to have tried & true patterns & yarn that works w/ it. The pattern was easy to follow & simple enough to vary. I altered the pattern slightly & explored w/ various colors of Duet. I love the feel of this yarn!
Having tried a weave along where yarn choice was open, GIST makes it much easier to learn new patterns. Thanks!🧶
