Thanks for this great pattern! And it is not too difficult. I chose to use cotton mill end yarns off my shelf to make these and because it is not quality yarn the napkins are not as soft as I would like. Next time I will pick a better quality cotton/linen yarn.
I haven't made these yet but I am looking forward to weaving them for Christmas gifts!
Hi, I am sorry, I have been on a go-slow on weaving. I have not tried this pattern as yet, although it is on my list
We just replenished our stock of all the colors in Mallo at our shop. We made a sample scarf with Spice and liked the texture and feel of this scarf so much that we are making several more in the various colors. We love the way this slubby cotton weaves up and the texture and drape of the finished scarf. Another big plus is that this yarn is processed in the U.S. Our customers also really like this yarn, we will definitely be keeping this in stock!
I fell in love with this pattern when I first saw it and the weaving of it cemented it into my book of tricks. I did change some things - 9" wasn't large enough for me so I expanded the pattern to 12". And I wove a matching table runner with each set of napkins. One table runner with 8 napkins makes a nice gift.
