20 shades of Array's blues and greens, including 4 shades of Sapphire, Ocean, Meadow, Forest, and Lime.
As a beginner tapestry weaver, I have come to enjoy this yarn. I use it 3 strands at 8 EPI and can do color transitions using weft bundles. There is a diverse range of colors that facilitates color blending. I purchase the smaller spools which allow me to develop a yarn stash of color at an affordable price. I have also used Shetland, but find I prefer Array. Would strongly recommend this yarn.
Gist Array Wool Yarn is perfect for Tapestry.
I love Array yarns, right now I’m working on a piece with lots of shadows and the variations in one color line is perfect.
I really like the color and how it is weaving up with my tapestry loom. I look forward to trying more colors and combining and blending them.
I added to my Array collection at Christmas this year! My youngest son has started buying me Array yarns for birthday/Mother’s Day/Christmas gifts.
Blues are my favorite and this range of Indigo is lovely! If you like slate blues, Indigo will work perfectly with slate blue/natural decor. I like that Indigo Array yarns have enough blue to avoid appearing gray.
My wish list is a blue gradient set of colors that starts with a true navy blue and includes medium blue (similar to Crayola Crayon blue & Penn State blue) and that doesn’t lean turquoise or slate blue … perhaps blues that fall between Sapphire & Indigo in terms of blue tints. Blues are my favorite weaving yarn color but Array is missing some common blue. A navy based gradient with a true blue would compliment so many of your other Array palettes well.
You have many warm color gradients for Array. We need cool colors to use with them! I am appreciative of the purples you’ve added and hope that extends to violets. I also just received the forests colors and enjoy having true greens that aren’t olive or lime. As a tapestry weaver who can’t buy every Array color, it’s more versatile to have true blue & green colors over colors that lean towards another color (like ocean).
Thanks for developing this line of yarns! It works beautifully for tapestry & multi shaft weaving!
