Checked Twill TowelsDesigned by Elizabeth Springett
These cotton towels feature warp and weft stripes, along with a twill structure that changes direction within each block, to create a distinctive check pattern. Designed with adventurous beginners in mind, this project is ideal for learning how to create a bold visual affect using twill, one of the most essential techniques of woven fabric construction. I Like the pattern very much. It Is good explained (even for m'y poor English, sorry).
I changed the color to green-yellow-gold.
It looks very like springflowers.
I used similar colors to weave this pattern and my towels are beautiful, absolutely love this twill pattern!
I really enjoyed weaving the towels and loved working with the Beam yarn. The resulting towels make lovely hand towels for the kitchen (to me these are kitchen colors) and they are soft and absorbent. The draft is easy to follow — this is my experience with all Gist patterns. Try them.
I love Gist yarn and their pattern which are very detailed and easy to follow.
