A pair of cotton and linen hand towels woven with an overshot pattern reminiscent of ocean tides. Order a kit.
I bought some cotton slub from GIST and it is wonderful. I also downloaded several patterns to help me decide what to weave. GIST has such a range of patterns and yarns I hardly know what to choose to make.
I just finished doing both high and low tides, using 10/2 cotton instead of the linen (it’s what I had ).
Came out great 👍🏼
It is amazing I'm weaving this. I never thought I'd weave overshot. It's such a beautiful pattern. I love the waves. I'm enjoying weaving the towels. Thank you
hi, this is Nino, a weaver from Germany. The towel looks beautiful, but I would recommend some linen thread in the border to prevent shrinking by long floatings (or panama in the uni-coloured parts if you have more heddles to use) that becomes more and more by washing. But otherwise: it´s like looking on waves...holiday for the bathroom.
