You can now experience our second installment of the Rigid Heddle Skill Builder as a stand-alone purchase! Explore Tufts & Textures through a series of three projects designed to build your confidence and expertise at your rigid heddle loom. Designed by Carly Jayne, these projects explore the possibilities from two heddles and pick-up sticks. This collection includes instructions for three projects (a mat, a runner, and a set of napkins), and a "choose-your-own-adventure" sampler which encourages you to experiment with the techniques learned in the patterned projects.
This collection was originally published as a part of our Rigid Heddle Skill Builder Subscription Box series. Please note, this listing is for the Tufts & Textures collection only—if you'd like to learn more about the subscription, you can do so here.
This collection contains three pattern PDFs with extensive directions, charts, process photos, and all of the yarn needed to weave each project. The projects included are as follows:
You will need a 24-25” rigid heddle loom, 2 12-12.5 dent heddles, and 4 stick shuttles.
Projects will vary in width, with some requiring up to 24" of weaving space and some requiring less. We aren't able to provide instructions for altering each pattern individually, but if you would like to try and downsize them yourself, you're welcome to give it a go! We have general instructions for resizing patterns here.
No, we’ve carefully planned our inventory for the year and cannot accommodate other colorway options.
No, these patterns are only available as a part of the full kit purchase.
This collection is a little on the spicy side, intended for weavers who have a few projects under their belt, are comfortable using two heddles, and have a well-developed sense of adventure.
