A textured accent rug woven with a Looped Pile. Duet Cotton/Linen keeps this rug lightweight and Mallo Cotton Slub gives each square a fluffy, variable texture.
Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon loom waste. Order a kit.
This pattern took longer than expected (hence 4 stars) but looks very nice upon finishing. I do think putting a backing on would add more stability but am not quite sure how to proceed. I used a different color scheme than what is shown in the pattern. Steel and denim-which is quite sophisticated I think.
I purchased two cones off Beam for a birthday project I am working on. Love working with Beam. One of the cones was smaller. I contacted customer service, the next day the issue was resolved. Thank you for the years of yarn and beautiful projects!!!
Squarish Rug
I am new to my rigid heddle loom. I modified this pattern as I couldn’t quite execute all four squares across the warp. I just did stripes and love how it turned out. Learned a lot and will attempt the squares at a later date. Thanks for the inspiration!
