A colorful set of placemats to brighten your table. This Color-and-Weave project gives you four placemat design variations, simply by changing the weft color order. Order a kit.

*Note: Tangerine discontinued (colorway 2). Consider substituting Persimmon.

Rigid heddle loom (Read about adapting rigid heddle patterns for multi-shaft looms here.)
12-dent reed
2 boat shuttles + bobbins or 2 stick shuttles

Yarn

Warp: Beam 3/2 Organic Cotton, 330 yds Cobalt, 170 yds Pistachio.

Weft: Beam 3/2 Organic Cotton, 150 yds Cobalt, 150 yds Pistachio.

Great looking

I used leftover Sugar and cream to make these in blue and white. Easy weaving and nice to be able to change up the design with the different pattern options.

Colour and Weave

I greatly appreciated the Gist team who explained in simple diagrams how to warp and weave this pattern for me. I enjoyed making a pretty fabric which I turned into a zip purse. Thanks for inspiring me.

Placemats

I’m using this pattern to make Placemats which I have on my RHL now. I chose a 100 cotton warp and weft in red white and blue. Measurements are very accurate and I’m very pleased so far.
