Windowpane Blanket
This cotton blanket is woven with a pick-up stick in a Windowpane pattern. The warp and weft floats closely resemble waffle weave. Order a kit.
I wanted to practice with the yarn that I have before doing a project I really like. This was a great instruction to pick up sticks. I also like that I could see what a different yarn would look like. The instructions were very clear and I was able to adapt it easily.
I think this pattern would make a nice stole with the appropriate yarn.
Can't wait to get it made.
I'm always pleased with the Gist family of paterns, easy to read,understand, execute. And questions that I might pose are always quickly answered!
Windowpane Blanket
As a complete beginner weaver this pattern was easy to understand and to complete. I will definitely be making another blanket with this pattern.
