This cotton blanket is woven with a pick-up stick in a windowpane pattern. The warp and weft floats closely resemble waffle weave. Designed by Christine Jablonski.
Rigid heddle loom | 24" weaving width
One blanket (woven in two panels), 29" W x 34" L
Hi all, I'm pretty new to my RHL (rigid heddle loom) but my pattern on a 10 dent heddle/ reed is coming out not at all like the source photo. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
Hacéis un trabajo maravilloso. Es una pena vivir tan lejos y no poder disfrutar de estos hilos y estos colores preciosos
This pattern was easy to obtain. Just downloaded the PDF and then opened it. I am very excited to start on it.
I recently completed this kit. The pattern is very well done and easy to follow. The Mallo is wonderful yarn to work with. I have used pickup sticks in weaving patterns before; the pattern sequence easily became a rhythm for weaving. To stitch the 2 panels together, I did Figure 8 (AKA mattress stitch if you're also a knitter) using the Mallo yarn. The seam is barely visible. The blanket turned out very well.
