 Radiant Gradient Scarf

Designed by Jennifer Leigh, woven by Christine Jablonski

Color-and-Weave is remarkable in that it offers a variety of pattern possibilities from just a few hues transitioning from one to another, and all in Plain Weave! With three options for weaving off one warp, this scarf explores the numerous motifs emerging from the intersections of different combinations of light and dark yarns in four-thread sequences. Weave the pattern as threaded or weave a combination of sequences to create your own unique pattern.

Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon the option woven and the loom waste. Order a kit.

Note: one of the original colors has been discontinued. Please choose an alternate colorway.

Radiant Gradient in lace weight wool & silk

I have started this lovely scarf and am enjoying the challenge of the colour pattern. I am in the UK, and unable to source the recommeded yarn so I am using West Yorkshire Spinners lace weight wool with 20% silk (doubled) in a 10 dent heddle. Collours are soft green and primrose. I am taking my time and trying to perfect my colour changes. Delighted with the way it is going. I should have liked to have seen a photo of the entire scarf in each version. I tossed a coin (!) and chose version 3.

Love this pattern!

This was my first wearable project, and it was such a delight to weave. Easy to follow and easy to pick back up after walking away. The yarn is lovely, fulled well, and feels nice and cushy now. I'm going to wear this everywhere come fall, and I'll likely make one for someone else.

So pretty!

I wove two scarves in different colours which I gifted to dear people.
The instructions were really easy to follow and the results are stunning! The gradient effect is beautiful ❤️
