Ode alpaca yarn

This yarn is so soft and warm. It will be perfect for any winter scarf, shawl or poncho. All the colours are beautiful, and I’m looking forward to having a play!

Alpaca for a blanket

I have not woven with it yet but I received it in good time and I love the feel of it.
Hopefully I can get to it soon.
Thank you Gist.

Baby Alpaca - oh so soft!

I'm loving this soft, cushy yarn! It has enough twist so it stays together when warping, but not so much that it gets stiff. I measure 16-24 wpi, depending on how much I squish it. For calculating sett, I'd go for no more than 10 epi with plain weave and 12 epi for a 2/2 twill. It needs a very gentle beat to keep the loftiness.

Lovely soft, colorful yarn!

When I first got this yarn, I just kept petting it (on the cone) because it feels so good. So far, I've been doing small samples, to find what my favorite color patterns will be for it; but even in a small sample, it feels lovely and is great to work with. I've already been back to get a few more cones to make sure I have enough on hand for future projects.

ode shadow

my husband bought me a vintage wool houndstooth coat for my birthday. it was displayed with a cream cashmere scarf. “no, i don’t want the scarf, i’m a weaver.” ode shadow wove up into a gorgeous scarf that matches the gray in the coat! this is a wonderful yarn line!
