Medallion Mini Tote
Designed by Mary Ann Cheng Pittman
This Doubleweave draft was derived from a Name Draft Overshot pattern (based on the designer's dog’s nickname). The threading alternates dark and light, while the treadling alternates light weaving the upper layer and dark weavving the lower layer. The result is a rose-style Doubleweave pattern with the appearance of medallions.
Three simple hand-stitched seams then convert the rectangle into an adjustable mini tote showcasing both layers of the Doubleweave fabric. The bag is machine-washable and sized to tote a water bottle, book, or a small portable craft project. Order a kit.
