    Easy Fancy Shawl

    Designed by Sue Anne Sullivan

    This elegant, lightweight shawl is woven in Sero Silk Noil on eight shafts. Three light shades in the warp provide a background of subtle color play as the darker weft sketches out the balanced twill design. Holding three colors together makes short work of winding the warp, and with one shuttle and a repetitive treadling pattern, this easy weave quickly produces a fancy silk shawl. Order a kit.

    Equipment

    • 8-shaft loom
    • 12-46 heddles per shaft
    • 12-dent reed 
    • 1 boat shuttle + bobbins 

    Yarn

    Warp: Sero Silk Noil, 20 yds Boulder, 215 yds Pebble, 215 yds Spearmint, 215 yds Seaglass. 

    Weft:  Sero Silk Noil, 505 yds Boulder.

    So lovely

    I obviously haven't woven this yet, but I am glad you credited it to Sue Anne Sullivan. She creates just lovely and unique designs and her patterns are well written and edited. This pattern is truly intriguing and distinctive close up and would make any weaver look glorious! I look forward to making one, just as soon as I decide which colorway to work in. Thanks for the options to choose from.
