Textured Cotton Scarf
A scarf for all seasons and all skill levels woven with Mallo Cotton Slub. This monochromatic project accentuates the natural texture of the yarn. Order a kit.
This was my first project.
It was easy to make.
The material the pattern called for made up beautifully.
I will make it again
This was a quick and pleasant weave.
However I think when I make another I will use a 10 dent heddle. It seems quite close together using the suggested 12 dent.
This was my first foray on my rigid heddle and I am very happy with result (if I do say do myself). I doubled the width - the pattern was easy to adapt.
I am a brand new weaver and needed a place to start. I found this pattern on the Gist website. It is so nice that it is offered free. But it is not cheap because it is free. It is well written and easy to follow. I also love the Cotton Mallo thread from Gist that I used to make the project. Strong yet soft and such an interesting texture. Thanks Gist!
I made this scarf in Lichen- it came out great! I’m a new weaver and this was only my second project. I thought the Lichen color would be spring-like but I agree with another comment that it is a bit heavy for spring/summer. I also had to do a little digging to discover that there was a revised instruction sheet- I had originally downloaded the original one.
