Droppdräll Towel
Droppdräll, the Swedish term for Bronson Lace, is applied to this towel to create a whole lot of texture. Order a kit.
I made a total of 4 towels, playing with the pattern each time, varying the size of the sections, including more colours. I adjusted the draft to use with 4/8 cotton . It was easy to adapt.
The only thing I don't like about it, is that the back is not very attractive.
This is a beautiful pattern and very easy to use. Thank you.
Can't wait to start weaving
I loved this pattern when someone else wove it for a show-and-tell in our studio! So when I found it on Gist, I ordered it right away. The directions were easy to read and the weaving was interesting enough to keep me intrigued as I wove. I included several different spacings for the stripes and different weft colors. All were wonderful!
This pattern has just enough complexity to be fun but is not challenging. I am getting near the end though and am not sure if the colors are correct? It starts with yarn b (cream) plain weave, then pattern, then yarn A (brick) plain weave, then pattern. But in the other end it ends with yarn B plain the pattern then A plain weave. Meaning it would be asymmetrical and end with a chunk of red not cream. There’s no photos of the full finished product so I’m not sure that is the intention? Having fun with this though.
