Beautifully Simple

I was looking for quick inspiration to use a bit of my stash and this popped across my radar. the timing was perfect. my mom who has alzheimers was just getting out of a short stint in a nursing home after an injury and I wanted to make something for her. For me I like a bigger blanket even for a lap blanket/throw, but for my mom this is perfect. she is using a wheelchair now and this is a lovely, light but cozy blanket that wont get tangled in the wheels. Also great as a shawl on cooler summer evenings when she likes to sit on the patio. I used Beam in natural for the warp and Mallo in Clay for the weft. It worked wonderfully.
Thanks for inspiring me to make a quick, cozy, beautiful gift for my mom.

Easy Enough for a Beginner and Looks Amazing

This is was my first weaving project ever! I used to Mallo Cotton Slubs yarn as recommended. It was easy and fast. The result was really beautiful, soft and cozy. Loved the pattern! Loved the yarn!

Love this weave structure!

I wove this over the past couple of days and loved it! I have never done anything with 5 pedals going up and down so I made some mistakes until I got into the rhythm, but that's fine, it's all about learning. Thank you Gist for making the pattern free. I'm going to do another warp of this and make some baby blankets out of it. I used the Mallo for this, its so soft!
