FAQ

WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED FOR THIS?

You will need a tapestry loom. A handheld tapestry oom or an upright tapestry loom are both great options. You will also need warp yarn, a tapestry fork, and other tapestry accessories that you are most comfortable weaving with. 

WHAT COLORS ARE INCLUDED? 

The box includes the following colors of Array Wool: Flamingo-3, Flamingo-5, Indigo-2, Ocean-2, Sapphire-5, Tangerine-4, and Cinnamon-5. 

CAN I SELECT DIFFERENT COLORS?

Rebecca has carefully selected the colorway that best works with the technique she’ll be covering in the online instruction. For this reason, we can't accommodate other color substitutions.

I WANT TO LEARN TAPESTRY WEAVING - IS THIS BOX A GOOD FIT FOR ME?

If you’re brand new to tapestry weaving, we recommend taking Rebecca’s beginner course before partaking in the Discovery Box.

Beginner friendly

This beginning weaver is using Array for small tapestries. It’s easy to work with, is good for bundling and I like the matt look. It has good range of colors in dark, medium and light values. I expect advanced weavers would be happy with it, too. And the custom serve is excellent.

Wedge weave

I really thought I knew how to weave wedges ~ I didn’t. I purchased this mostly because of the colors and I liked the pattern. Had never taken a class like this. Have watched the beginning about 6 times and have learned more each time. Have so much more to learn and this is very valuable. Thank you Gist, I really like your Aray and Rebecca you truly are so helpful and talented. I need to go weave now :))

Rebecca Mezoff’s classes are excellent and the Gist tapestry yarn is my favorite. I have taken 4 Tapestry Discovery Box courses and will continue my subscription.
