Ode is Awesome!

I wove a scarf using another company's "Alpaca" because the color was just what I wanted. The result was "meh." I' m now starting a scarf using the same pattern, with Ode Blossom and I can't believe the difference between Ode and the other Alpaca! Ode is such a pleasure to weave! Gorgeous and so soft! I'll re-make the previous scarf using Daylight, which I hope is a light blue. Ordering now! Can't send pics until I finish the new scarves.

Cozy Alpaca Poncho with “Ode”

I recently completed the “cozy alpaca poncho”, pattern by Andrea Carpenter for Gist. The yarn was silky, soft, and lovely to work with. I did find tensioning much improved by lashing on rather than tying on. I honestly expect to make at least a couple more ponchos in different colors. Just gorgeous! I expect to use this yarn frequently.

Beautiful texture and color

I love Ode to Alpaca. Delightful yarn to work with, beautiful color with a combo of Rhubarb, Fawn, and Cream. Warping now for a spectacular scarf!

an ode to Ode

my ode to Ode ... what a delight to work with this delectable baby alpaca yarn! so easy to weave with & the colors are wonderful! i used "Rhubarb" in combination with a skein of "Neptune" from a local suri alpaca breeder. i was as tickled with the outcome as she was!
