Super easy with a big payoff

This project was so easy to follow. It’s VERY repetitive and not the most fun to weave but the payoff! Absolutely gorgeous and modern looking optical illusion! I did pack my wefts a bit too tight at first which made it a little wonky on the loom but wet finishing evened it out. It makes a very thick and heavier fabric that my little sewing machine was none too happy to sew but that’s nothing to do with the pattern. Just a heads up. Overall another win. I’ve never been disappointed in anything from Gist!

Great results!

After rethreading three times, I finally got it right, and sailed through the weaving! I would suggest using colors closer in value, rather than such a contrast, if you like subtlely over drama.

Review update

Christine set me straight on the tabby picks (see previous review) and it turned out great! It took a while to get into a rhythm, and couldn’t let my mind wander, but it resulted in a very satisfying project.

Need clarification - weft sequence

Where exactly do the tabby picks come in? And how many each time?
