Running Stitch Table Set

Designed by Christine Jablonski

An old favorite pattern gets updated with new colors and a set of coordinating napkins. The two projects are woven on separate warps and with opposite colors to make the most of the yarn in the kit and create a stunning table set.

Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon loom waste. Order a kit.

Confused by lack of "cramming" instructions.

I'm confused. For the arithmetic to work out with a 12 dpi reed and a weaving width of 18" I'd need to "cram" two ends into one dent 22 times. I'm guessing this happens in sleying the reed in the parts of the warp chart that call for 11 repetitions, but I'd feel a whole lot more confident if the pattern explicitly told me which ends get crammed where. I'm relatively new at this so maybe the chart is following some convention I don't know about?

Hi Deborah. You are correct in that you sley 2 ends per dent 22 times (11 on each end of the warp). The sley carts (page 3 for the placemats and page 4 for the napkins) indicated specifically whicy dents contain 2 ends. Hope that helps!
