    This affordable and portable rigid heddle loom is quick and easy to use - a great option for your first loom! The rigid heddle is a great introduction to hand weaving but is also very versatile. Create beautiful and unique scarves, shawls, home textiles and more. The loom can also make woven tapestries and wall hangings. This loom is unfinished and requires assembly. 
     

    Made from Silver Beech hardwood the loom is very strong and robust. The included second heddle harness gives extra versatility to this loom by allowing for weaving with two heddles. Drilled holes on the underside of the loom allow it to be used as a warping board (warping pegs not included but sold with our Deluxe Kit). Comes in 16", 24", 32", and 48" weaving widths, and has 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, and 15 dpi reeds.

    Does not include a floor stand. You can also purchase a floor stand and extra heddles/reeds for your loom. Don't forget to add Ashford Wax Polish to your cart if you want to finish your loom!

    A very nice little loom

    I am starting to get into double heddle weaving and needed a better loom than the one I had. I am very pleased with the Ashford 24" model. It was very easy to assemble, and I am now on my second project. I find it very easy to warp using the direct method. One of the nicer touches is that it is very comfortable to use while seated, as the front sides are curved and provide convenient arm rests -- whether they were intended for that, or not! And the loom comes with supports designed for two reeds, so no need to order another support. The folks at Gist were quick to point this out, when I mistakenly ordered an additional set! A very nice little loom -- and at a great price.
