Cross stitch on Mallo

It is a bit tough, with the slubby texture, but I love my New God Jul Christmas towel. I adore Mallo.

I am pleased with the color but I haven’t begun to weave with it yet .

Christine’s Overshot RH Towels

I love the Mallow Slub Cotton yarn. Having had major hand surgery not that long ago I didn’t even know if weaving would be in my future. I just completed my second set of Christine’s Overshot Towels using “Slub Cotton Yarn” and absolutely love the feel of the yarn in my hands and the way my project feels and looks after completion. I’m preparing to weave another set of four Overshot RH towels. A fun weave. I’m one of 9 ladies in a stitch group and the only weaver in our group. For this years Christmas exchange I plan to gift each lady with an Overshot RH towel. I look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces as well as their happy comments. I must add how quickly I received my yarn and the colors are wonderful! Thank you Gist Yarn.

More Mallo!

Just finished a little cloth for my Christmas candlesticks. This is Mallo Natural in the warp and weft, combined with a red mercerized yarn I had in my stash. I really love the nubby, rustic look when it is woven with My 15 dent rigid heddle.

My favorite yarn!

I am a fairly new weaver so I don't have a lot of 'yarn experience' but I love Mallo slub. It adds just the right amount of softness, absorbency and texture to tea towels and dish cloths. Scarves are nice and soft too. Try it with 8/2 warp! Love the colors too.
