Ode is melange-dyed, where different colors and shades are blended together, creating a rich, unique hue that imparts depth to your weaving. A generous sett and light touch when weaving means projects weave up quickly on both rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms. This lofty, luxurious yarn blooms into spectacularly soft scarves and shawls when wet-finished, and can be used with Array for home decor overshot projects or blankets and large garments that may require a bit of structure.
I would have loved to have received this. Was told to reorder it since it wasn’t their problem that it was not delivered. I will shop somewhere else who uses UPS instead of the USPS for delivery.
We are very sorry you didn't receive your yarn. We shipped it to the address you entered at checkout, which included an incorrect zip code. Your post office corrected the zip code and delivered the package. Once it is marked delivered, there is nothing we can do unless you contact the post office and declare it lost.
I came back to post two photos of my finished scarf, made from cream Ode. From start to finish, the weaving was a joy, and I am delighted with the result.
I made the Light & Lacy Scarf from the Agate Ode. It is wonderful to work with and it turned out so nice...and soft!
This is one of the softest yarns I have ever felt, and yet it is strong enough for warp on my rigid heddle loom and does not stick together and make havoc with my sheds.
I’m making a scarf using a pickup-stick pattern of warp and weft floats. It has what knitters call “good stitch definition” — the three-dimensional structure shows up beautifully. I expect it will be very warm.
I have color cards for this yarn, and they are all quite beautiful and subtle. I am dreaming of many more projects with this yarn!
Great colors and terrific to weave with!
