I'm currently weaving my first Mallo project and what a fun yarn it is to work with. My current project uses 4 colors and I feel like each color has its own personality. Some cones are super slubby. You wouldn't want to use it for a project that requires a crisp pattern but I just love the texture that I'm seeing in my cloth. The color palette is lovely and sort of rustic. I see a lot more Mallo in my future.
After more than one month (!!!), I still haven’t received my order which I already paid.
Really resists tangling. Adds heft to my projects. The cream/white color seems thicker and heavier than the blue and gray I ordered at the same time. Not sure why it seems different.
I spin cotton, and I love the slubs in my handspun yarn. Mallo is much like my handshandspunon, but firmer, so I can use it as warp and use my handspun for weft to create lush, soft fabric with just the right amount of texture. Blooms beautifully to make a soft, lush fabric.
I am a new weaver, and am totally in love with your Mallo yarn, even though so far I have only had the pleasure to look at it and touch it. I can’t wait to weave with it! Thanks so much for being there & having such great products!
