Plain weave is anything but plain when woven in Mallo. The thick-and-thin nature of this cotton slub creates an elegant, delicate texture, even in the simplest of weaves. Slightly thicker than many weaving yarns, Mallo weaves up quickly on both rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms. I will be ordering more of this. I used it as weft and it really made the towel exciting.

I prefer a scarf /shawl with nice drape. While Mallo may be great for dish towels or placemats, for me the results even at 12 EPI were simply too stiff.

This yarn leaves a beautiful texture. Lovely to weave with.

I love the thick & thin nature of Mallo cotton yarn and use it as warp and weft on my rigid heddle loom. The colors posted are true. At 750 yards per 8 oz cone, it's very affordable. You can't go wrong using Gist yarn...well you can go wrong, but it won't be that fault of the yarn!
