Anchor is a quiet gray.
A versatile yarn, Duet is strong enough for warp, soft enough for garments, and hardy enough for kitchen towels. Made from 55% European tow linen and 45% USA-grown cotton.
Machine wash in cool water. Air dry or machine dry (air drying preserves the longevity of linen).
Made in the USA.
I was pleased by the yarn. Wish it came in a slightly thicker yearn also.
I found I achieved better selvages by paying more attention to "setting" the yarn at each turn, due to it being a little stiffer than cotton.
This yarn practically weaves itself, it's so easy to use. I am making the Skip Dent Scarf and it is so much fun to make. The yarn warped easily, it didn't get twisted or bunched up as I wound it through my heddle like some cottons I have used (it may not be the cotton's fault, more like weaver error, but I did notice a big difference with this yarn). The shipping was fast as well. I will be back for more!
I've been hesitant to try weaving with linen, but was encouraged by all the good reviews here. Took the plunge, ordered the Dusk, and set about making the Skip-dent Scarf on my Kromski Harp. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! One of the easiest yarns I've worked with, had no issues at all! I'm definitely putting this yarn on my favorites list and now on the lookout for another project that will show it at its best.
