Plain weave is anything but plain when woven in Mallo. The thick-and-thin nature of this cotton slub creates an elegant, delicate texture, even in the simplest of weaves. Slightly thicker than many weaving yarns, Mallo weaves up quickly on both rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms. Sturdy, soft, and absorbent, Mallo is perfect for towels, napkins, and washcloths as well as lightweight blankets, scarves, and shawls.
I couldn’t be happier with the color. Mallo is one of my favorite yarns to weave with.
I used the mallo in a varirty of muted colors set at 12 epi for a scarf for a ver fair friend. Bleutiful scarf and so soft.
These newer colors are so great to blend together into scarfs. They drape well.
I also read that they can be used as towels!
I can’t wait to weave this.
I hesitated buying this yarn because of the cost, but I am so glad I did! I love the texture and the way my piece looks.
