 Dawning Scarf

Designed by Stephanie Ford

Evoking morning light through windows, the Dawning Scarf features Sero Silk Noil in three subtly gradating shades plus a bolder color for the framing stripes. Designed to explore color interaction in Plain Weave, the scarf can be woven on either a rigid-heddle or shaft loom. Thanks to the versatility of silk noil, this generously-sized piece can be worn year-round as a cozy scarf or an airy wrap.

Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon the loom waste. Order a kit.

Fun project

This shawl worked up very quickly and was an enjoyable project. I chose Seaglass, Wisteria, Lupine and Spearmint for a spring shawl. Sero works up into a wonderful cloth with beautiful drape, and the colors are fabulous. I have made several other projects using this yarn.

Beautiful lightweight scarf

This was a very fun project. I’m a semi new floor loom weaver. The pattern and instructions were very straightforward and easy to follow.
