148: Soft Gather, Quiet Flame with Aliana Grace Bailey

In this week's episode, LaChaun speaks with Aliana Grace Bailey, an interdisciplinary fiber artist, designer, and care worker whose practice combines art, healing, and social impact. Originally from Washington, D.C., Aliana now lives and works in Baltimore, where she engages with the community through her fiber practice, which embodies bold softness and emotional resonance by creating intimate spaces that comfort the body, mind, and spirit. As a passionate advocate for radical self-love, wellness, healing, and grief support, she leverages her artmaking to build intimacy, archive stories, and foster inner peace. Through her ongoing project Soft Gather, Aliana crafts immersive healing environments that invite Black women and gender-expansive communities to rest, reflect, and connect through the language of color and fiber.
