Meet the Team: Christine Jablonski
Have you ever wondered who's making it all happen behind the scenes here at Gist? We're so proud of our team of seven fiber enthusiasts, and felt it was only right for you to get to know everyone a little bit better.
Today we're introducing our Director of Content and Customer Experience, Christine Jablonski. Christine has worn many hats throughout her time at Gist. You've probably woven a pattern she designed or produced, or chatted with her via phone or email—with or without knowing it! Read on to learn a bit more about Christine.

What’s your name and title?
Christine Jablonski, Director of Content and Customer Experience
What do you do at Gist?
I work with established and up-and-coming weaving designers to develop individual patterns and small collections of related patterns.
What are your primary fiber interests? How did you come to love fibers, crafts, or textiles?
I’ve always been an artist/maker, but came to fiber as an adult, initially as a knitter. While I always have a project on my needles, I think I’ve officially crossed over to a weaver who can knit.
Tell us a little about your professional background, and how you landed where you are today.
I’ve had many professional lives from financial services to therapeutic movement studio owner to weaving teacher. I stumbled upon Gist and convinced Sarah I should manage the studio because who would not want to be surrounded by yarn all day?
What other hobbies or interests do you have (outside of work!)?
Stalking Zillow and going to open houses in search of the next renovation project.
What keeps you inspired and connected to your creativity? Do you have any daily creative rituals or practices?
Every year I take a non-weaving art class such as block printing, paper collage (a la Matisse), drawing with thread into water-soluble fabric. I have a full cabinet and studio of other art supplies I dip into when weaving inspiration is lacking.

What was the first loom you ever used?
What’s your favorite thing you’ve ever made?
A blanket scarf in alpaca and camel silk.

What’s something you’ve done in your role that you’re proud of?
When I was managing operations, keeping Gist in-stock and shipping during the early, supply-chain-constrained days of the pandemic.
Do you have any pets?
Two rescue dogs, Milo and Robbie.

Best trip you’ve ever taken?
A week in Dublin, in the winter, knitting in pubs with my best friend.
Go-to snack during a long workday or studio session?
Nutella out of the jar.
Coffee or tea?
Always coffee.
