Love my warp thread weights by Ashford. They are simple to use and make it easy to use supplemental warps. Definitely would purchase again and worth the money.
Usually my warp weights are ice fishing sinkers, however, coming to a Snow Bird location this winter, I forgot my warp weights. I was very intrigued when I saw these Ashford Warp Weights, so ordered some immediately.
They were quickly put into service and I. found them quite easy to use. Hooked them on over the back beam, and dropped them near the floor. Then, in moving the warp forward, every once in a while the warp weights needed to be dropped back down to the floor. The system of the two c hooks worked very well, and it was easy to drop them away from the back beam. It is very clever, too, that the silver washers pictured on the top of this weight can be easily added or taken off to comnpliment the yarn grist. Yes, very clever!
The only downside I can see is if I needed five or six weights in the same area, it might be difficult to do that, due to the warp weight's size, unless one could use a weight with multi numbered warp threads. Not sure how that would work. It would be worth experimenting with when that situation arises….. Until then, happy weaving! Happy warp weighting!
I am really happy with these wights! I like that I can adjust the amount of weight for different warps, and they are easy to use. Most of all my warp isn’t all tangled as I advance the warp! Highly recommend.
Gist is my go-to shop for weaving supplies!
I bought a set and I do like them. Easy to work with. I am thinking of a second set.
