Split Decision Scarf

Designed by Christine Jablonski

The undulating pattern throughout this silk scarf is created by pairing thick and thin warp stripes with bold weft color blocks. Three gradient colors of Sero Silk Noil alternate in an energetic pattern across the warp. We opted for a solid weft to highlight the subtle warp color shifts, but we could not choose just one, so we split the decision and wove a block of each. Order a kit.

You’ll be very happy with this pattern - and the resulting beautiful scarf.

The scarf looks a little intimidating but it weaves up simply and beautifully. I used Sero Silk Noil and was happily surprised with its strength as it looks so delicate when woven. Directions were straighforward and easy to follow. I’ll be weaving this one again and again.

Very Easy Pattern and Design

The design was easy to follow and clearly written.
I made this for my brother and used 8/2 Bamboo/Cotton blended yarns.
My brother loved this gift and I really liked the finished look after washing and blocking.
I'm new to weaving and this was an ambitious choice for a new weaver, as the thread is so fine, but I managed through it and it's gorgeous.
Whoops, I forgot to have him model the finished look.
