Perfect all-purpose yarn

Newbie here, trying my hand at kitchen towels and placemats and I'm loving Beam 3/2 for these projects. It's versatile and forgiving. I only wish it came in more colors.

Wonderful to work with

I wove on a rigid heddle loom for years, until last fall, when I bought (and assembled) a Louet Erica 4-shaft table loom. I wove these towels with 3/2 Beam on the new loom and couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. The pattern was easy to follow, and my weaving friends were as impressed as I to feel how soft they came out.

Bright and Easy

I am not normally a fan of greens. With that said, this Pistachio makes a lovely accent color. I used just a few threads through my towels for an unexpected pop of color. It worked well with the blues, purples, and pinks that I was using. Beam is a very easy yarn to weave. I have ever only found one tiny know in all of the cones that I have used. The knot is so tiny that I just ignored it. My towels came out beautifully. The knot is practically unnoticeable and the towels are wonderful to use. The beam really absorbs water. I was a beginner (used on my second project) when I began using beam. It is now one of my go-to choices and makes up most of my stash.
