Tone on Tone Scarf

Designed by Christine Jablonski

This oversized cotton and linen scarf is woven with two similar shades of blue. Mallo Cotton Slub and Duet Cotton/Linen are mixed throughout the warp and weft, varying the tone and texture of the scarf. This is a great project to practice using different fibers in the same warp. Order a kit.

Tone on tone scarf

Had worked with Mallo and Duet in separate projects with success. Was curious how they would be together. They worked up beautifully in the scarf. I had a bit of pink left from a previous project so added that for a little interest. The dark grey Duet did not shrink as much as the Mallo after wet finishing so left some subtle texture, but the dark grey twisted fringe is just slightly longer than the light grey Mallo fringe.
