The Saffron Loom, made by Mirrix, is the perfect portable tapestry loom for weaving on your couch or at the top of a mountain. It has one main thing that most other tiny looms are lacking: a tensioning device. This means weavers can adjust their warp tension after warping and as weaving progresses.
The Saffron can be used to weave four-selvedge tapestries, and is adjustable in height. Made in the USA from cherry wood, steel, and aluminum.
Got this as part of a package bundle with Array yarn and an intro to Tapestry Weaving course by Rebecca Mezoff. Love the portability of the loom and the tensioning. Travels well with no issues.
Love the loom and the warp twine, yarns and class were excellent additions! I would recommend the bundle to everyone. I thank Gist and Rebecca Mezoff for working together to provide such a wonderful opportunity to learn Tapestry weaving. I appreciate your collaboration and will continue to support both the companies. Thank you!
This is my first tapestry loom and I really like this loom. It holds tension well and is easy to warp. My only problem is that it twists.
Perfect size to practice techniques. The loom comes together quickly and seems substantial in the materials used.
What a fantastic loom. I love that I can tighten the tension; a feature that isn't available on most small looms. . . This is the second Saffron that I have purchased; it will be a gift to my sister along with instruction. I love that it is so portable. Great for those that love to travel.
