Episode 46: Jane Patrick and Barry Schacht from Schacht Spindle Co

by Sarah Resnick

We’re kicking it off the New Year with a fabulous episode, my conversation with Jane Patrick and Barry Schacht of Schacht Spindle Company. As weavers and spinners around the world know, Schacht is a beloved company making beautiful, high quality equipment for weavers and spinners. All of their products are made in Boulder, Colorado, and they are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Comment below to keep the conversation going! And if you're interested in buying a new loom and have questions - just reach out to sarah@gistyarn.com and I'll help you out :-)

Please note one correction from the podcast: Schacht's 50th anniversary celebration will be Friday, September 20th, 2019!

I LOVED the photos of the Schacht people and the factory itself. It makes my new Shacht loom all the more precious. I waited a long time to own one and it is worth the wait!

Such an interesting episode! I’ve met Jane several times over the years and own so many schacht products it’s slightly shameful. :) I especially love their mantra of only making new products if they feel like they can improve on some aspect of it.
