Oat linen is a nice yarn I used for a deflected doubleweave shawl and tea towel. For doubleweave at 20 epi. For tea towels I don’t recommend cutting the weft and changing shuttles much because the change in weft is difficult to hide. The ends are unravelling a bit and I don’t know how they will fair after many washes and use.. Anyway it has a nice weight to give a weighty feel on the shawl. It is shiny but still a rough yarn due to the weight. I thought it was a nice contrast with a silk weft for a shawl.
Absolutely love this linen yarn! It's so user friendly and mixing all of the available colors is such an exciting adventure. Everyone at GIST is always so helpful and friendly. Shipments are extremely prompt. Thank you!
