A versatile yarn, Duet is strong enough for warp, soft enough for garments, and hardy enough for kitchen towels. Made from 55% European tow linen and 45% USA-grown cotton.
Please note that each mystery box has identical colorways—if you buy two Duet Mystery Boxes, you'll receive two of each color. Mystery boxes are not eligible for returns.
I never weave in colors for myself (always black, white grey), but wanted to make something for friends. I didn't care what colors and this made it easy and fun! I unwrap the box in anticipation of what colors i got!
I haven't woven with this before and am looking forward to making some tea towels with it. Not keen on one of the colours (won't give away the mystery), would be good as just a bit of an accent but if it was a third of an item, it would overwhelm. I have overdyed 1.5 oz of it, and like the colour better, but still just good for an accent as it is now darker. Might try bleaching some of the rest, hope I don't wreck it if I do!
The good news and the bad news: I got colors I would not normally gravitate toward. They are beautiful, however, so I will enjoy getting out of my safe place, exploring new possibilities, and find a stunning way to use them.
This is my first time using Duet and so far it's been easy to weave. I love the colors that came in my mystery box too. I love the surprise and, like this time, it's given me colors I don't normally choose.
