This linen is a lot of fun to weave with. The colors are wonderful and the service from Gist is the best!
I have woven runners, placemats and now I have towels on the loom. I will have a project ongoing on one loom with this yarn for many projects!
I wove a set of towels with this yarn. It seemed a bit slubby as I was winding the warp, but it wove up beautifully in a lovely twill pattern. The towels are absorbent and soften with each wash.
I’m so happy with the quality and texture.
Oat linen is a nice yarn I used for a deflected doubleweave shawl and tea towel. For doubleweave at 20 epi. For tea towels I don’t recommend cutting the weft and changing shuttles much because the change in weft is difficult to hide. The ends are unravelling a bit and I don’t know how they will fair after many washes and use.. Anyway it has a nice weight to give a weighty feel on the shawl. It is shiny but still a rough yarn due to the weight. I thought it was a nice contrast with a silk weft for a shawl.
I love this weaving yarn and the sea glass is a beautiful color.
