Inspiration From Our Community: Doubleweave with Array

Every now and then a customer project comes along that simply blows us away. Today we’re sharing one of those projects: a stunning wall hanging, woven with Array, by Megan Bourassa. Megan's wall hanging is based on the Block Placemats pattern from Jennifer Moore's Doubleweave.

Megan writes, “I was looking to make something that had a lot of sunset/sunrise colors that would make a colorful wall hanging. The pattern suggested 6 pairs of light and dark colors, and the different shades of Array were a great fit!"

Doubleweave is a magical technique that allows you to create two layers of fabric simultaneously, opening up a whole world of possibilities. With doubleweave, you can weave the top and bottom layers independently or interchangeably. This means you can create complex designs, reversible fabrics, double width cloth, and even fabric pockets.

If you're curious about trying your own doubleweave project with Array, we recommend the Ocean Waves Wall Hanging by Christine Tsai.
