Mixed Twill Scarf
Inspired by traditional twill samplers, this scarf combines point twill, balanced twill, and broken twill for a bold visual effect. The slub texture of Mallo softens the linear pattern, as if it were drawn by hand. Order a kit.
This was such an enjoyable learning project on my new floor loom. I used charcoal and clay and am very pleased with the resulting colorway. I wanted it longer and narrower, which was easy to do as the draft was quite clear and made it easy to understand how to make adjustments. I wove it for me but suspect it will become a gift because it's worthy of that!
Perfect! Fits my Leclerc Artisat and I’m ready to get weaving
This is the 3rd pattern I’ve used from Gist Yarn. I’m still a new weaver and the pattern is well written and easy to understand. Thank you.
If I only have a 10 dent and a 15 dent reed, how should I do the warp?
I enjoyed weaving this scarf - the pattern is well written and easy to follow. And Mallo yarn is great to weave with. The result is an attractive scarf. I enjoyed that the pattern has mixed twills. It was fun to see the designs appear while weaving. And with the completed scarf, it's a visual treat to look at. I mixed it up with more colors; I used natural & Clay as warp and Fir & Ink as weft.
