I found the yarn challenging to work with as it is very fine. I made a scarf with this and two contrasting colours. The yarn sheds a lot of fluff with the friction of weaving but that said I am very happy with the finished scarf.
Wish I could upload a picture of the scarves (yes, plural), I've woven from this yarn. Wanted to add this blue as a stripe into the next scarf. Woven on my rigid heddle loom. Light weight and warm. Beautiful yarn!
I can’t wait to use this yarn. The color is just like the picture, and it is so soft. It is the fiber of choice for my next project! I’m excited to get started!
first time weaving with this luscious yarn and it's absolutely lovely! it held up well under the tension of my rigid heddle (and i do keep a very tight tension on my warp). used for warp & weft both & i couldn't be happier with the finished product (scarf). finished it with a soak in eucalan & air dried it flat. i used some of the italian cotton-linen in "wine" for a pop of color in the warp as well & doubled it to keep the weight consistant.
This silk is so soft and textured. It is like weaving a cloud. The texture of the cloth is rustic and organic as well a luxurious against the skin. I love it so much that I am ordering more as soon as I post this.
