I wove two scarves with the silk noil yarn on my rigid heddle loom, using the Silk noil infinity cowl pattern. I chose to leave it as a scarf. It was magic!!! The silk noil shifts when the scarf is washed after its off the loom. Lovely handle!! I'd include photos of the two scarves if I could. Have fun!!
I love both the drape and feel of this silk yarn. I bought an additional color to blend with my two previous colors and absolutely love them together. All of the colors of this silk seem to all blend and compliment each other. i love the texture! I will most definitely reorder.
I was nervous about this yarn when I started weaving my scarf but man, after it’s been washed, it has a beautiful drape and is so soft without being fluffy, if that makes sense. It’s sturdy too. Everyone was so impressed with my scarf and they wanted me to weave scarves for them! It’s so unique too - rustic, like another reviewer said, but also strangely luxurious?
I really enjoyed weaving with the Italian silk noil yarn. The scarf I made looks rustic but feels like a dream, so soft and lightweight. I used it for both warp and weft. Very easy to work with. I'm looking forward to many more projects with this yarn.
I found the yarn challenging to work with as it is very fine. I made a scarf with this and two contrasting colours. The yarn sheds a lot of fluff with the friction of weaving but that said I am very happy with the finished scarf.
