Wanted to love it

It’s so soft and beautiful, but I’ve already broken three warp threads not quite halfway through a 60 inch scarf. The threads fray like mad. I got this in a Crafters Box kit and I’m just not sure I’ll ever use it as warp again. A similar but sturdier warp from Gist would be Mallo, which I am in love with.

Cotton/linen weaving yarn

As a beginning multi-shaft weaver, I appreciate the quality of the yarns we get from Gist. I always get great prices and solid dependability from Gist.

Love this yarn

Wonderful yarn. A bit sticky when warping but wove beautifully and the finished fabric feels amazing. I’ve washed and dried the towels I made and love how this yarn weaves up. I’ve already bought more.

Love this yarn and shopping at Gist!

I ordered this yarn as part of a weaving kit for kitchen towels. I had to wait quite awhile to order it, as it was backordered, but the color was so nice I just didn't want to substitute another color. When I did order it, it arrived quickly and I'm glad I waited for it to be available. I love the color and the feel of this yarn.

Beautiful yarn, with just a couple caveats

This yarn weaves up beautifully. I’m on my third project using it. For some reason the second cone has more issues — the twist seems to come undone, so that one ply is still going through the heddle and reed, but the other is getting pushed back and forth, requiring some careful attention when beating to work it back in. Found if I wet my fingers and re-twisted it it would be good for ~ 4 beats, and then I’d do it again. Didn’t have that problem at all with the first cone.

That being said, the slub is interesting, and the color is rich and deep.
