Service

Haven’t had the chance to warp the loom yet but the service from gistyarn was very fast. Questions I had also answered in a timely manner

Brassard 8/4 non mercerized cotton

First time I have used this yarn and do love the towels. Also purchased red and white as well to make some 4th of July tea towels.
FYI when doing a project please take into account the warp needs to be at least 2" wider and longer than finished piece is to be. Next project will double the EPI in hopes of maintaining more of its size.
Warped 12 EPI as recommended, 16" X 23" hoping for a finished size of 14" X 22 , after washing 13.25" X 21"
First time I used this yarn. Do the love the towels and looking forward to the next project.

Great Help for a Beginner

I'm a beginner learning to weave. Having a kit offered for people like myself trying to learn how to weave on their own is a great help! Choosing the amount and type of yarn as well as offering colors that go well together plus providing a "how to" diagram helps me to understand what to do and how to do the project and at the same time learn more about weaving. Sarah's knowledge and approach helps me to have more confidence to do this project and continue trying new ones. After doing much searching the Gist website has become my only website to go to for weaving. Her podcasts are a great help! I've not found another place that offers as much assistance, support and quality products for weaving needs. Thank you, Sarah.
