Love Overshot
The overshot pattern was allot of fun .
I am using the pattern as a starting point to make a wider and longer table runner. It's coming out really well! Thank you for such clear instructions, a draft that is easy to read and use, and a beautiful pattern! For my piece, I am using 8/2 cottolin for the warp and tabby weft and 8/4 cotton for the pattern weft, sett at 20 epi. The photo is my table runner on the loom.
I am not a very experienced weaver and I love overshot. This is a well written pattern with enough challenge to make it a good learning experience, but once you have it all set up and begin to weave, it goes fast and the resulting mats are beautiful. I used different weft colors in each and will give them as gifts. The photo is of some sampling I did plus the beginning of the first mat.
I expanded her pattern for my cushion. I love to touch the combination of Beam & Duet, but my first attemption was failed. I couldn't pack the pattern shots.
So, I changed warp to cottolin from my stash. Thank you Amanda & gistYARN for this cute pattern.
Oh, now I found one mistake after washing.....
