A vivid orange the color of juicy nectarines.
This worsted weight wool yarn is durable and well suited for weaving tapestries, rugs and wall hangings.
The wool is grown by Mike Rodriguez' family on a single ranch in the wide open spaces of northern Wyoming, and spun into yarn at a woman-owned fiber mill committed to revitalizing the American wool industry through eco-friendly operations and fair prices for ranches. Each 3.5 oz skein has 196 yards.
I wove the rug kit with this wool. It is so wonderful to weave with. I like the textured color. I did weave the rug larger than the kit specified and I had to order more wool. Lesson learned. Keep the same dye lot. I removed the new skein and I adore the rug. I am making tassels with my extra skein! My spinning wheel has a place of honor on the rug.
I love this yarn! And even more, my daughter and future son-in-law love the rugs that I made from it. The color is spectacular!
this yarn is beautiful, and fun to work with. the texture is really interesting and I am so excited for the woven panel I am working on.
I ordered some beautiful tapestry yarns at gist, the colors are beautiful, earthy and slightly heathered.
I just finished my first real weaving project. I made the rug using this yarn in the Jeans color. It came out absolutely gorgeous. it was awesome yarn to work with with. The plan was for this to be a gift but now I want to make another for myself.
