I made a cowl with this and it was such a nice weave. The cowl is pretty with great drape. I used the sky and cream colors.
I used the silk noil Infinity cowl from Gist Yarn.
I'm going to use this charcoal color when weaving with cashmere and wool.
First time I worked with this beautiful silk from Campolmi Roberto Filati from Italy!
It was easy to work with and I loved the feeling of handling it. Also very impressed of a very good service from GIST took less than one week to get the yarn 🧶
I ADORED weaving with this.
Some things to note, it is somewhat rustic silk and sheds a bit a some static issues. With that said, it makes a lovely fabric, it’s drapey and gorgeous.
This is a very nice Silk Noil yarn. I bought it to combine with blue and green Tsumugi silk. I will use some to make an ikat/ kasuri weaving with indigo. The yarn is strong with the characteristic nubby texture.
I’ve only been weaving for a year (RH) but I have fallen in love with all of Gist’s yarn! It it predominantly what I use. I just make up patterns based on what yarn I have, and I recently used this silk for the first time. It is fantastic! It was so easy it weave with and it turned out so very soft! I used it in both warp and weft. I need this in more colors!
